She joined the staff at Debenhams in 2009, working in its Cardiff and Carmarthen stores.

‘I enjoy working in the retail industry,’ commented Elinor, ‘where looking after the customers’ needs is a priority. I’m looking forward to applying the skills I gained with Debenhams to my work with the Welsh book trade.’

‘I know south-east Wales well, having lived in Ammanford and Cardiff, and this region of Wales has a good range of independent bookshops, supermarkets and visitor centres.  I’m looking forward to introducing a wealth of books, in both English and Welsh, to both new and existing readers in that area of Wales.’
