The Welsh Books Council celebrating 25 years at the RWAS!

There will be plenty to see and do at this year’s Royal Welsh, and the Welsh Books Council’s stand will be brimming with books, more books and events! We will aslo be celebrating 25 years on the same site at the showground  – quite an achievement!

Monday, 20 July, kicks off with the launch of Cyw ar y Fferm  – a lovely story book which is perfect for little ones. Cyw and friends, including Sam Tân and Sali Mali, will be entertaining us from 10.30 a.m. onwards, so come over and join in the fun. Then at 1.30 p.m., Megan Hayes will be signing copies of her latest book, The London Milk Trail, which tells the fascinating story of the Welsh families and their London dairies.

Picton Jones, an expert in the field of birds and fowls, will be at the Council’s stand on Tuesday (21 July) at 11 a.m. signing his book Plu yn fy Nghap. Picton’s career has spanned over 70 years and he has won thousands of main prizes at prime shows throughout Britain. Then at 1 p.m., one of the best-known names and voices in the world of Welsh ponies and cobs, Dr Wynne Davies, will be on hand to sign a personal copy of his new autobiography  – From the Horse’s Mouth  – a perfect gift for you to take home from the Show!
